20 by 25

So I recently turned 24 and wanted to make a list of things that I would like to do before I turn 25. I always 'think' about making goals but this time I really want to stick with it. Some of them are small things and some are bigger (i'm not sure if 4 or 5 will happen but i hope so) So here are 20 things I want to do before my 25th birthday :)

  4. Find a new "grown up" job
  5. Buy a house
  6. Visit flea market in Rogers Ohio
  7. Lose 15-20 pounds
  8. Start doing once a month cooking
  9. Have 20 followers :)
  10. Build a bigger stockpile and start donating
  11. Try out geocaching
  12. Visit falling water
  13. Visit Andy Warhol museum
  14. Go on a second cruise with my husby
  15. Slowly wean fast food out of my life :(
  16. Attempt menu planning
  17. Cook at home more
  18. Become more active
  19. Learn more about blogging
  20. Learn how to play golf

Long Time No Post

I must apolgize to everyone for the lack of posts lately, this past friday, May 13th was my birthday!!!

How old am i?

hmmmmmmmmmmmm, I might be 24 ;)

:) so this weekend was nice to take a break and just relax and chill out with my husby, friends and family

 Flowers my husby got me

Balloons from my mommy :)

Stay tuned for new posts on my lists tab, and an after birthday post coming soon!

DYI Decor :)

Earlier this year I bought this Love plaque at the thrift store, whenever I got it was painted nice but wasn't my style. However I did not get the before picture, just the picture after I painted it white:

Also at this time I was working on scrapbooking my wedding pictures and had a bunch of leftover pieces of paper:

So with the white love plaque and the scraps of paper, I took some Mod Podge (which i had never used before, if you do use it, i recommend that you wear old clothes cause it doesn't come off that!) and used it to glue on the scraps of paper :)

The finished product!!

Happy Mothers Day!!

Happy Mothers Day!!!

Would just like to wish all the Mothers out there a Happy Mothers Day!!

I, myself have the bestest mother that anyone could ask for and am very blessed to have her in my life!
Love you mommy! :)

Thrift Store Shopping!!

I lovvveee thrift stores, love, love, love em!!! If I don't visit one at least once a week I start to go into a 'thrift store withdraw' mode. I'm blessed enough to have three in my area to shop at, one that is close to my one job so i can stop on the way home and check the goodies out :) below are some of the goodies I've found recently :)

A old old Scrabble game i found! :) gonna use it for an art project
Excuse my dog Dante who decided to sneak into the picture at the last second!

I found this nice sweater that I'm planning to wear with my dress to my brothers graduation on Saturday :)

I'm soooo excited about this one, i have wanted a shadow box for a while now but haven't been able to find one, unfortunately i don't have anywhere to hang it right now so this beauty is going into storage into we find a house :)

Crafty Time

Not too long ago I saw a cool project on a blog (can't remember which one but as soon as I find it, I'll post it) The project was very easy and I thought it would look cute in my place.

To start out with I printed out this:

The black numbers are random numbers, the blue ones are our wedding date :) For some reason my computer didn't place the numbers right in the center, we just got a new computer and only have a sample of Office Word so maybe that is why. I printed this on a cut down piece of 12x12 scrapbooking cardstock.

Simple Right??

So all i needed now was a nice frame for this beauty :)

A friend and I went yard saling the other day and I found this frame for .50 cents, chaaa-ching!

It was a little beat up, but I was liking the distressed look :) Plus it looks like it cost a lot before

I hadn't looked at the back of the frame when I bought it but whenever I went to put my paper in it, I realised the back was a little different then normal frame backs:

But once i took off the thick paper on the back it was looking a little better ^

I took the glass out and cleaned it and decided to distress it a little more with some sand paper:

The end result!! Please excuse the door in the glare and my hand :)
